Optimized for laser engraving, even fine lines and lettering stand out beautifully on this vegan material made from prickly pear cactus.
Laser engraving gently removes the top layer of the cactus material. This creates a subtle, tone-on-tone effect that’s
completely abrasion-resistant.
Color printing, on the other hand, sits as an elastic layer on the fiber; we use certified inks that flex with the
material without cracking under stress. Both options hold their shape, even after washing at 40° C.

Our Cactus Faux Leather
This innovative plant-based material is made from the leaves of cacti grown in arid regions, requiring no additional irrigation. The mature prickly pear leaves are cut, cleaned, and sun-dried before processing. A single cactus plant can be used for up to eight years, with regenerating leaves harvested repeatedly, while other parts of the plant serve as a food source. Cacti naturally absorb carbon dioxide and contribute to soil health in their native habitats.
The back of your cactus faux leather hangtags is a soft cream color, and the material has a thickness of approximately 1.1 mm.
Our cactus faux leather has been tested and certified by the Bremer Environmental Institute for relevant harmful substances and suitability for use in children’s toys according to DIN EN 71-3. More details about our certificates available here.
