Add radiant highlights to your fabric projects: with Marabu Textil Metallic, you can create metallic effects in gold or silver on cotton and blended fabrics. This water-based fabric paint makes your designs shine and is ideal for fine stencil work – on pillow covers, bags, shirts, or accessories.

Be sure to use only smooth fabrics made of cotton or blends with no more than 20 % synthetic fibers. Knitted fabrics and silk are not suitable, as the paint does not adhere properly and the effect is lost.

Before designing, wash the fabric once without fabric softener. Apply the metallic paint to the dry fabric using a stencil brush or paint roller. For a more intense or more subtle result, simply adjust the amount of paint used.

To ensure your design lasts, set the metallic paint after it has dried – either in the oven (8 minutes at 150° C) or with an iron (3–5 minutes from the front through a thin cloth, cotton setting). After fixing, your design remains lightfast and washable up to 40° C.
