The material combines a soft, subtle texture with a durable structure. It’s ideal for laser-engraved designs with clean lines and fine details. Thanks to its stability, it’s easy to sew — by hand or with a machine — especially when you use labels with pre-cut holes and want precise results.

Our Apple Faux Leather

For cleaning, simply wipe the surface with a damp cloth. The material reacts similarly to leather and is generally not suitable for machine washing.

The apple faux leather used for your custom-made labels is built from three functional layers. A sturdy textile backing forms the base. The middle layer combines apple waste, natural rubber, and other bio-based components. A protective top layer ensures durability and an even engraving surface. The fossil-based share of this top layer ranges between 5 and 11 percent.

The apple residues come from juice and cider producers in Northern Europe who process fruit from regional farms. The production significantly reduces water usage and lowers CO₂ emissions compared to traditional leather manufacturing. The embossed surface feels soft and even. With a weight of about 900 g/m², the material provides a stable, premium feel.

The cream-colored backing contains cellulose fibers and supports smooth processing. The labels are approximately 1.1 mm thick.

For fixing the label before sewing, use a fabric fixation pen. You can add matching accessories directly in the configurator or in the label and signage accessories section.
