Our Apple Faux Leather

A damp cloth is all you need for cleaning — it preserves the natural texture. The material is generally not suitable for machine washing.

The back of your cactus faux leather hangtags is a soft cream color, and the material has a thickness of approximately 1.1 mm.

Apple faux leather has three layers: a sturdy textile backing, a blend of apple waste, natural rubber, and other bio-based ingredients, plus a protective top layer. This combination provides stability for clean, consistent engraving. The fossil-based portion of the top layer is between 5 and 11 percent.

The apple residues come from cider and juice producers in Northern Europe. They process fruit from local farms and reuse by-products. Production significantly reduces water consumption and lowers CO₂ emissions compared to traditional leather. The fine embossing creates a smooth, soft surface. With a weight of around 900 g/m², the material has a premium, solid feel.

The backing contains cellulose fibers, giving you extra stability for clean processing. Thickness is approx. 1.1 mm.
