Hip Bag "Lana"

Digital instructions and pattern by Unikati

Classic hip bag or casual crossbody bag "Lana"

Item no. 5014

Hip back Lana

The Hip Bag Lana now comes in two practical sizes.

The "Small Lana" is not too big and not too small. With a size of 13 cm (5 1⁄8“) x 26 cm (10 1⁄4“) x 6 cm (2 3⁄8“) (height / width / depth) it has space for everything important that belongs in a fanny pack.

The new size "Big Lana", measures 16 cm (6 1⁄4“) x 26 cm (10 1⁄4“) x 6 cm (2 3⁄8“) (height / width / depth). If you prefer to carry a little bit more or have one of those bigger wallets, you will love this size.

Two zipper pocket options help you to be more organized in your Lana. Either choose a small zippered pocket on the inside or a large zippered pocket on the back of the Lana. In the exterior zipper pocket, you can store a mobile phone with a maximum size of 15 cm (5 7⁄8“) x 7 cm (2 3⁄4"), which you can access quickly from above.

Thanks to the division of the front panel you can get creative with your fabric scraps and make Lana an absolute eye-catcher. Or do you prefer it simple without division? No problem! You can also sew Lana with a simple front panel instead of the three-piece front. Design it for your sporty casual look, your business outfit or for your elegant wardrobe.

In the tutorial, I explain how to make two variations of straps: either with a buckle, or with D-ring and swivel clasp.

Lana will be your companion in any case - whether you wear it as a classic hip bag or as a casual crossbody bag.

Unikati - Bag Design

Unikati, this is my dear husband and I. Together we work hand in hand, from the idea to the printable result, on our bag patterns. It is particularly important to us to create detailed, illustrated step-by-step photo instructions for our patterns. So even beginners can sew their own bag. With almost 10 years of sewing experience and countless bags I have sewn, I know exactly what is important when sewing bags and I am happy to pass on anything worth knowing.
